Found a match?
I recently had a phone conference with a man (we will call him T) who wants nothing more than to become a father. We chatted for a long time and discussed a variety things from family history, current lifestyle, why I want to do this, why he wants to be a dad, and many, many other things. We seemed to really click well! The next step is a face to face interview! T has booked a flight and will be coming all the way from New York to meet with us on October 16th for dinner. We will see how it goes, and of course I'll keep you posted! :)

I've decided to become a surrogate.
I've been contemplating it for the last three years. Deep down I've known it was something I wanted to do, I just didn't know how feasible it actually was. I've spent the last six months researching the process, speaking with agencies, stalking the surrogacy message boards and getting increasingly excited! The more I researched, the easier my decision has become - this is something I am going to do.
After deciding on which agency to work with, I got started right away by filling out my surrogate profile. This is what the Intended Parents (IPs) use to decide if they'd like to meet with a potential surrogate. I answered all kinds of questions about why I want to be a surrogate, my life, my family and my background. It includes photos of myself, my husband, my children and my home. It discusses my views on a variety of pregnancy related topics - it's a very thorough application used to determine if I would be a good fit to carry someone's baby.
The next step is to sit and wait patiently for the phone call from my agency saying that someone is interested and wants to speak with me about potentially working together! This could take days or even months, finding the right match could get tricky. Not only do you have to find someone you agree with on all aspects of the pregnancy, but Arizona is not a surrogate- friendly state. This makes it even harder to find a match.
I'm looking forward to documenting and sharing my journey every step of the way, but please bear with me as I'm not much of a fancy writer! :)
