So much to say!

So, it's been a while since I've updated... what a roller coaster it's been! So, I told you all in November that T planned to have his new girlfriend carry his baby. Well, I got a call several weeks later from my coordinator saying that he had changed his mind. He really wanted to work with me and would I give him one more chance? She said he felt terrible and was really apologetic. She was giving him one more chance to work with the agency, and if anything else happened, he was out for good. I told her I really needed to think about it and I asked her if I could call T and ask for an explanation. She said sure, so that's just what I did. That was one of the most bizarre conversations of my life! He told me he didn't change his mind, but he felt really horrible about the way things took place. He wanted to plan a trip to come visit my home in December and meet the rest of my family. He said that he still planned on having his girlfriend carry the baby, but if it didn't work out come March, would I be willing to? Basically he wanted me to be his backup plan. I told him I would think about it, but that this whole surrogacy journey was something that I really wanted to do. I told him that if another Intended Parent came along who I matched well with, I would not be sitting around waiting for T to pick me, I would do what I needed to do to make this happen. He said he understood.

I hung up with him and right away called my coordinator and explained the conversation with T that I just had. She was shocked as all can be and LIVID. She said that she would never agree to letting me be his backup plan and that he did not make his intentions clear to her when he asked if I would give him another chance. She said absolutely not would she let me wait around on him to decide what he was doing, and she knew FOR SURE she could have me matched by March, so not to even worry about it! She told me about a man named N who she personally knew and was ready to go, she thought we may potentially match well so she sent me his profile.

I took a look at N's profile and for the most part loved what I saw. I asked her to forward my file to him. Several weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything so I assumed he was not interested. One day I got a text from my coordinator saying he LOVED my profile and was excited to get started. We scheduled a conference call for after the holidays and then suddenly right before the call I got a message saying that he changed his mind and was not going to move forward with surrogacy just yet.

BAM! Back to square one again....
